NCATT MAKES SIGNIFICANT RECOVERS IN YORKSHIRE
New CITS partners, the National Construction and Agricultural Theft Team (NCATT) successfully recovered £50,000 of stolen construction machinery in Yorkshire last week.
The team recovered a stolen Takeuchi TB260 compact-excavator and two (a Terex and a Mecalec) 1-tonne dumpers. The machines had been stolen from various locations in West Yorkshire, West Mercia and Greater Manchester.
A subsequent visit to a location in West Yorkshire revealed a stolen cloned transit and a ‘cut and shut’ Motorhome, where both vehicles were seized. The approximate value of these two items was also £50,000.
One male at the site was cautioned regarding bulk waste offences and another arrested by Immigration Officers.
All investigations are ongoing.
